Did you do it?

Make your list of goals for 2024?

Things you want to change, things you want to do differently, new “habits” to do?

You probably did. And that’s okay.

I even set a few for myself.

It’s just…we’ve been down this road before.

We set our goals too big

We know the famous actor or athlete or writer who stands in front of the crowd and says some version of: “Just work hard enough and you can achieve your dreams.”

And that’s true to a certain extent. But it seems exhausting. How do we get there?

Often, we set our goals too big.

And fail to notice that life gets in the way.

I’m not against goals or ambition.

But there needs to be a healthy recognition of what’s real. And how likely plans come to fruition.

Not everything will happen the way you think it will or want it to.

You see, setting goals is an acceptable form of procrastination…
