Why You Must Do Great Work Before Optimizing Great Work
Don’t pick a tool right away. No matter how much you want to.
We are spoiled for choice when it comes to productivity tools.
From note-taking apps to writing software and creative platforms, there’s a tool for every conceivable task.
However, they can distract from the main thing.
The act of doing and creating itself.
These tools can enhance your workflow, but they can’t — and shouldn’t — be the main thing.
The power of doing
The urge to find the perfect tool can often overshadow the actual act of doing.
Taking notes, writing, and creating in their raw, unassisted forms allow you to tap into your innate creativity, unrestricted by the constraints of specific tools.
The tools should aid the process that you’ve already got going. It shouldn’t be a distraction from it.
And it’s a lie…
It’s a lie if you think you’ll start doing more of something just because ou have the right tools.
