I love “Succession” and I’m looking forward to Season 3.
It’s won an Emmy.
It’s infinitely meme-able and their outrageous antics like eating small birds, playing Boar on the Floor, or sending up cool bars makes the show enjoyably cringeworthy.
Plus, who doesn’t like Succession Without Context or Kendall in baseball caps?
Yes, some viewers admire the money. The lifestyle. The power.
But there’s another part of it that helps us plebes relate to the Roy circumstances….
The frustrating everyday inconveniences is their secret sauce.
Think about…
- Getting stuck in traffic
- Stealing batteries from a gas station
- Dead raccoons in the chimney
And a few others I can’t think of…
Why would the show do this?
Because money can’t get you out of every situation.
