We’re living in a digital utopia where tools rain down like confetti at a parade.

The allure of the latest apps, platforms, and software can be overwhelming, often leaving us questioning if we’ve truly optimized our workflows or if we’re merely drowning.

I’ve worked for several productivity apps and the same thing would happen every January: visits and downloads would go up.

People searching for the next best thing, the latest and the greatest.

It can be a carnival out there, but before you get lost in the neon lights of the productivity Ferris wheel, let’s talk about why less is more.

The number of tools is dizzying

So, you’re at the carnival, surrounded by productivity tools juggling for your attention and the paradox of choice hits harder than a tilt-a-whirl.

Does having a bazillion tools make us more productive, or are we just spinning in circles, hoping one of them will magically solve all our problems?

While having options is generally considered a good thing, the paradox of choice suggests that too many choices can lead to decision paralysis and dissatisfaction.
